We’re proud to share our 2025-2026 Annual Report, revealing a record year of growth across lending volumes, revenue and headcount. The results reflect twelve months in which we stayed focused on the fundamentals: serving our clients, investing in our people and continuously improving our operations, all against a backdrop of global economic uncertainty and shifting market conditions.

The period also saw us invest in a bespoke CRM platform, built specifically around the needs of our clients and team, laying a stronger foundation for scalability and service excellence in the years ahead. We expanded our team to nine colleagues and picked up two industry awards, winning BTL Mortgage Broker of the Year at the Business Moneyfacts Awards 2026 and Property Finance Broker of the Year at the BFSI Insider Awards 2026.
Key figures from this year’s report include a total gross loan amount of £108,719,807 and total revenue of £1,838,128, from 239 cases completed at an average loan size of £462,637. We exceeded our revenue targets by 120% and surpassed our volume targets by 184%. Our results span bridging, buy-to-let, development and commercial mortgage activity, with buy-to-let accounting for the largest share of cases at 130, followed by 82 bridging cases, 16 development cases and 11 commercial mortgage cases.
Beyond the numbers, Michael Street is preparing to take on the 3in3 Charity Challenge later this year, three full-distance Ironman triathlons on three consecutive days, in aid of Empower Youth Zones, which supports young people in Manchester and Salford. It’s a fitting reflection of the same commitment and resilience that has driven our results this year.
Our growth also reflects wider momentum across the UK’s specialist property finance sector. According to the Bridging & Development Lenders Association, member loan books stood at £13.4 billion at the end of 2025, continuing a sustained period of growth for bridging and development finance across the UK.
Michael Street, Founding Partner at Word On The Street, commented:
“As we reflect on another successful year, I am immensely proud of what our team has achieved. The past twelve months have presented no shortage of challenges, yet our approach has remained unchanged. We have never been distracted by external noise or comparisons with others. We have remained focused on what we can control: serving our clients, supporting one another and continually improving our business.
“While the figures within this report tell an impressive story, they only represent part of the picture. Behind every milestone, every completed transaction and every new client relationship is a team that consistently goes above and beyond. The foundations are stronger than ever, and we are excited for what comes next.”
